A Catholic Education for Your Child

First School in Warrick County to Have 1:1 Devices

Our faculty and School Council are striving to continuously meet the changing needs of our students. St. John the Baptist Catholic School is an innovative community of learners dedicated to helping ALL students grow, create, collaborate, contribute, and thrive.

The Technology Committee of the School Council has dedicated much time and effort over the last few years establishing and developing a 1:1 technology program for our school.  Currently we provide:

  • 1:1 iPads for K-1
  • 1:1 Chromebooks for grades 2-8
  • New Promethean 'smart boards' in classrooms
  • Lightspeed content filtering program
  • Document cameras

We intend to capitalize on digital opportunities while still providing the face-to-face relational support between students, teachers, and parents.

Each device is set up to carefully control content, and each student signs a St. John the Baptist Catholic School Technology Agreement.  This Agreement strictly prohibits inappropriate use.  Our students in grades 6-8 are responsible for their Chromebooks throughout the year, home and at school, except for Christmas break and the end of the year.

St. John the Baptist Catholic School is committed to implementing 21st century technology skills in moderation.  Technology is used to balance individual needs and instruction with participation in learning.
