BAND

Students can join the St. John the Baptist Catholic School band program beginning in the 6th grade; they can continue to participate in 7th and 8th grade if they choose.  Band class is offered during the school day, and students perform in a Christmas concert at St. John the Baptist as well as a spring concert held at Memorial High School (alongside students from all six of Memorial’s partner schools).  Band students are expected to practice their band instruments at home and submit weekly video assignments in Google Classroom. They can also choose to participate in the Memorial High School Mega Band and the ISSMA solo competition. For more information please contact Mrs. Mary Buedel.

CHOIR

Choir is open for grades 5 through 8. Choir members lead the music at all school liturgies. Performances include the Christmas program and graduation. For more information please contact Mrs. Karrie Anne Keepes. 

SJB ANNUAL SCHOOL MUSICAL

A School Musical is performed each March by students in grades 6 through 8.   Past titles have included The Lion King, Jr., Alice in Wonderland, Jr., Beauty and the Beast, Jr., and Little Mermaid, Jr.  All middle school students are encouraged to participate as performers, backstage crew, or set builders.
